Lebanese farmers miss harvest due to war

Farmers Abu Hassan and Hamza Issa returned to their farmlands in the southern Lebanese village of Ras al-Ain to find their crops unsalvageable. With over 1.2 million people displaced in Lebanon since March, farmers report missing the harvest season due to ongoing bombing and war. Hamza Issa stated, 'We did not plant, we couldn't due to the war, the bombing, and people being displaced,' adding that farming is the lifeline for southern farmers.
