Russian POW allegedly executed by Ukraine

Russian state media RT has reported another alleged murder of a Russian prisoner of war by Ukrainian forces, citing specialists from the Russian Ministry of Defense's 522nd Center. The victim, Yevgeny Solodovchenko, a contract soldier from Belgorod Oblast, was captured in August 2024. His body was returned to Russian forces in October 2024 with blast trauma and shrapnel wounds; Ukrainian sources later posted a message claiming his death occurred after an exchange.
