Polish activist Poczobut freed in Belarus swap

New images have emerged showing Polish-Belarusian journalist Andrzej Poczobut before and after his five-year imprisonment in Belarus under the Lukashenko regime. Poczobut was released as part of a prisoner swap between Poland and Belarus at the border, where five prisoners were exchanged on each side. The photos starkly illustrate the physical toll of his detention, drawing renewed attention to the treatment of political prisoners in Belarus. His release included two other Polish citizens and two Moldovan nationals, while Poland handed over five Belarusian prisoners.
