Russia blames Kyiv for NPP worker death

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has accused Kyiv of demonstrating its 'criminal nature' by murdering an employee of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). The Russian-installed management of the plant previously reported that a Ukrainian drone attack killed a worker at the facility on Monday, April 27. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed a drone strike killed a driver at a transport workshop in the vicinity of the plant. The incident adds to the severe tensions surrounding the Russian-occupied facility, which recently had to rely on emergency diesel generators following a power line failure.
