Iran MFA responds to von der Leyen sanctions stance

He stated the sanctions were never about human rights but were designed to trample the basic rights of ordinary Iranians. The statement asserts that such posturing only demonstrates Europe's double standards and hastens its 'descent into irrelevance.' This follows recent comments from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen that it was too early to lift sanctions on Iran.
