Africa Corps hands over Intahaka to rebels

The Russian Africa Corps and the Malian Armed Forces have withdrawn from the strategic gold-mining town of Intahaka in the Gao region, marking the third settlement peacefully handed over to the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA) and Jama'at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM) coalition. The handover of one of Mali's largest gold mining centers follows the earlier withdrawals from Kidal and Tessalit, consolidating the rebel alliance's control over northern Mali.
