Putin meets Iran FM in St. Petersburg

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi in St. Petersburg to discuss the conflict in the Middle East. Putin stated Russia intends to continue strategic relations with Iran and will do everything that serves the interests of Iran and other countries in the region, adding he received a message from Iran's Supreme Leader last week. Arakchi thanked Putin for Russia's support, affirmed the strategic partnership will strengthen, and claimed Iranians were able to resist US aggression. The consultation was also attended by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, GRU head Igor Kostyukov, and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Qasem Gharibabadi.
