Russia's URAN Battalion recruits drone operators

The URAN Battalion, a Russian military unit, has posted a recruitment advertisement for volunteers to join its unmanned systems unit. The post seeks UAV operators, drivers, and signalmen, offering a one-year contract with a guarantee against transfer to other troops. In addition to standard military pay, the recruitment drive is backed by the state space corporation Roscosmos and the Shield and Sword Association, which promise employment in the rocket and space industry during service and guaranteed job placement after the war. Selection is competitive and requires Russian citizenship, age 18–50, a military ID, and no serious criminal record.
