Pirates board cargo ship off Somalia

Suspected pirates have boarded a St. Kitts and Nevis-flagged general cargo vessel off the coast of Somalia and are sailing it towards the Somali coastline. British maritime security firms Vanguard and Ambrey reported the incident, which adds to a recent surge in piracy activity in the region. This latest hijacking follows a recent UKMTO warning that raised the piracy threat level to 'substantial'.
