US strikes drug-trafficking vessel in Pacific

U.S. Southern Command’s Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a suspected drug-trafficking vessel in the Eastern Pacific Ocean on Sunday. The vessel was transiting through known narco-trafficking routes at the time of the operation. The strike resulted in the deaths of three male individuals aboard the vessel. The operation is part of ongoing U.S. efforts to interdict illicit narcotics trafficking in the region.
