IDF confirms continued operations in S. Lebanon security zone

The IDF has announced it will not cease operations within the declared 'Security Zone' in southern Lebanon, following instructions from Israel's Political Echelon, but will abide by the ceasefire elsewhere in the country. The IDF confirmed its intent to capture and destroy the 'Ali AlTaher' underground facility (UGF) near Nabatiyeh, which it had attempted to seize multiple times over several days. The IDF claims 'dozens' of Hezbollah personnel remain inside the UGF network, where fighting is ongoing both below and above ground. The 'Ali AlTaher' hills were added to the security zone only hours before the ceasefire.
