The Kremlin's 'Matryoshka' bot network has launched a disinformation campaign aimed at creating a rift between the Baltic states and the rest of Europe, as well as between the EU and Ukraine. Bots are spreading fake videos on Twitter (X) and Bluesky, disguised as content from well-known European media outlets, claiming disagreements over the 'Russophobia obsession' of Baltic politicians. In one video using Le Figaro branding, Estonian MEP Urmas Paet is falsely portrayed as being criticized by the editor-in-chief for advocating anti-Russian rhetoric. Another campaign targeted EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas with a fake clip using Estonian media Postimees branding and a fabricated quote from Josep Borrell. The campaign was reported by The Insider via the 'Antibot4Navalny' project.
