Climate change threatens Bon faith in Nepal

In the Nepalese highlands, the village of Lubra is the last remaining settlement of the ancient Bon faith, which predates Tibetan Buddhism. However, climate change has led to devastating floods that are destroying homes and farmland, threatening the survival of this unique cultural and religious community. The floods, exacerbated by melting glaciers and changing weather patterns, have eroded the land and displaced residents. Without intervention, the centuries-old traditions of the Bon people could be lost forever.
