The large-scale attack on April 25 came at a high cost to the coalition. More than a thousand militants were killed in various attacks in Gao, Kati, Bamako, Sevare, and Kidal. Technological superiority enabled the coalition to counter the militants’ rapid attacks and inflict heavy human and material losses (more than thirty artillery vehicles were destroyed) on their ranks.
