The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool's new blue coating began peeling off just days after a multi-million dollar renovation ordered by President Donald Trump. The pool had previously turned green from algae growth, which accelerated due to the dark bottom heating the water. CNN journalists observed a fragment of the coating detached and floating to the surface, though it is unclear if it is paint or sealant.
