EU delegation visits Sudan for first time since war

A high-level delegation of 14 European Union diplomats, led by EU Ambassador to Sudan Wolfram Vetter, concluded a two-day visit to Khartoum and Port Sudan—the first EU mission to Sudan since the outbreak of war on April 15, 2023. The delegation met with Sudan's Sovereignty Council Chairman, his deputy, the Prime Minister, and other officials. Discussions focused on issues related to the ongoing conflict and potential avenues for political engagement.
