Cuba president calls for urgent economic changes

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel told Communist party leaders that the economy needs urgent changes to overcome a crisis intensified by the US oil blockade. In his frankest admission yet, he cited China and Vietnam as possible models for opening up the economy. The speech to the politburo called for a significant overhaul of the communist model.
