Russian PM praises economic ties with Uzbekistan at TIIF 2026

At the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF) on June 17, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin praised the strong economic and trade relations between Russia and Uzbekistan. He noted that Russia is among the leading investors in Uzbekistan's economy, with approximately 3,000 Russian companies working on about 150 major investment projects totaling over RUB4 trillion. The remarks underscore the continued pragmatic cooperation between the two countries despite geopolitical tensions.
