Pope Leo XIV to visit Peru in November

Peruvian interim President José Balcazar announced on Thursday that Pope Leo XIV will visit the Andean country in the first half of November. The announcement came in a statement from the Lima government after Balcazar met with the pope at Vatican City. The visit is expected to include stops in Lima and other major cities, though the full itinerary has not yet been released. This will be the first papal visit to Peru in over a decade.
