Man jailed for storing feces in Kano

A court in Kano, northern Nigeria, has sentenced a septic tank cleaner to 14 days in prison and a fine of 100,000 Naira (about $74) for storing approximately 50 bags of human feces in front of his home. The man intended to secretly sell the waste to farmers as fertilizer. The environmental authority intervened after neighbors complained about the unbearable stench, and the storage was cleared.
