OMV Petrom invests €300mn in Bulgaria solar project

OMV Petrom announced a final investment decision for the Gabare Solar Project in Bulgaria, a hybrid facility combining approximately 415 MWp of photovoltaic capacity with a 600 MWh battery energy storage system. The Romanian oil and gas group is investing €300 million in the project, marking a significant expansion of its renewable energy portfolio in Southeast Europe. The project is expected to enhance Bulgaria's renewable energy capacity and grid stability.
