Lukashenko apologizes, calls war 'dead end'

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, in an interview with Al Arabiya in Dubai, apologized to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for past harsh remarks and advised Russian President Vladimir Putin to recognize that the war in Ukraine has reached a 'dead end.' Lukashenko assured that Ukraine has 'absolutely nothing' to fear from Belarus and called on Russia, Ukraine, and European leaders to find a compromise, offering himself as a mediator. He proposed a three-way negotiation table including Lukashenko, Putin, and Zelensky to discuss overcoming the conflict's consequences. This marks a significant reversal from his earlier alignment with Moscow.
