Nigeria denies cyberattack on education database

The Nigerian Federal Ministry of Education has denied reports that the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS) was hacked. In a statement released Tuesday, the ministry dismissed claims published under the title "Suspected Cyberattack Hits FG's Education Data Platform" as unfounded. The ministry maintained that the platform remains secure and has not suffered any cyber intrusion. The statement was signed by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Folasade.
