Somali forces kill 14 Al-Shabaab in Lower Shabelle

Somalia's elite Danab special forces killed 14 Al-Shabaab fighters during a targeted operation in the southern Lower Shabelle region on Monday. The raid took place in the district of Kuntuwaarey, targeting a location where senior Al-Shabaab operatives were believed to be gathered. The commandos also destroyed a cache of weapons and explosives during the operation, according to the Ministry of Defence.
