Ukraine redeploys forces from Kupyansk to Vovchansk

Ukrainian forces are being redeployed from the Kupyansk sector to the Vovchansk area in Kharkiv Oblast in response to increased Russian advances across the international border. The move represents a deprioritization of the Kupyansk direction, where Ukraine has abandoned plans to clear the west bank, allowing Russia to regain the initiative and capture fortified positions like Pishchane and parts of Petropavlivka. Meanwhile, other Ukrainian assault units from the Kupyansk concentration are being sent to other fronts, including the Pokrovs'ke direction to support recent counteroffensive actions in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts.
