JNIM/FLA capture key cities in Mali offensive

Fighting has sharply intensified in Mali as terrorist groups JNIM and FLA continue their offensive toward the capital, Bamako. Battles are now taking place in the city of Kati on the outskirts of the capital, as well as in Kidal, where the base of the Russian 'Africa Corps' is located. The Islamists were counting on numerical superiority but are reportedly suffering huge losses in the clashes. Pro-government Tuareg GATIA forces are also entering Kidal to assist the Africa Corps and the Malian Armed Forces.
