UK receives final F-35s, eyes more

Lockheed Martin has delivered the final three F-35B fighter jets to the United Kingdom, completing the delivery of all 48 aircraft originally ordered. The F-35Bs are the short-takeoff and vertical-landing variant and will be based on Britain's two Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers. In addition to these, the UK government is reportedly considering a further purchase of 12 F-35A conventional-takeoff models and additional F-35Bs.
