Kurdistan Region hit by 809 drone/missile attacks

The Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq has documented a massive wave of attacks on its territory over a 50-day period from February 28 to April 20, 2026. A total of 809 drone and missile strikes hit the Kurdistan Region, resulting in 133 casualties among the ranks of what the KRG describes as terror groups. Drone attacks accounted for the vast majority of incidents, with 701 strikes, while 108 were missile attacks. The province of Erbil was the hardest hit, suffering 477 attacks that left 10 killed and 83 wounded among militant forces.
