Ukraine: TCC bribe prices rise after scandal

Following a high-profile scandal involving the Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC) in Odesa, military commissars have reportedly raised the prices for bribes to dodge mobilization. The previous schemes for paying to avoid service remain in effect, but now carry a 'risk' markup. The cost for a person to be 'lost' on the way to the TCC has risen to $2,000–$3,000, while leaving the TCC after arrival now costs $12,000–$15,000. Removal from the wanted list now commands $15,000–$25,000, up from the previous $10,000–$15,000 range.
