Second tanker arrives at Basra since Hormuz closure

The oil tanker HELGA, flying the Comoros flag, has reached an offshore oil loading terminal at Iraq's Basra port and is preparing to load approximately 2 million barrels of crude oil. This arrival marks only the second tanker to access Basra's southern offshore terminals since the closure of the Strait of Hormuz during the ongoing conflict with Iran. The closure has severely disrupted shipping traffic through the critical global oil chokepoint. The movement of this vessel indicates a limited, cautious resumption of oil export operations from Iraq's primary port.
