Russian Deputy Natural Resources Minister resigns

Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources Denis Butsaev has resigned from his post. An official order from Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin confirming his release was published on the legal information portal, with the ministry stating Butsaev left of his own volition after a year in the role. Butsaev previously served as First Deputy Governor and then acting governor of the Belgorod region in late 2020, before Vyacheslav Gladkov was appointed to lead the region. Following that, Butsaev headed the state-owned 'Russian Environmental Operator' from 2020 to 2025 before moving to the Ministry of Natural Resources.
