Ukraine's P1-Sun drone interceptor claims high success rate

A Ukrainian defense official has highlighted the effectiveness of a domestically produced counter-drone system. Adviser to the Defense Minister Yuriy Sak stated that the P1-Sun interceptor has destroyed more than 3,000 Russian kamikaze drones since the start of 2026. He claimed that Ukrainian-made interceptors are now successfully stopping up to 90% of incoming Shahed drone attacks. The system is noted for its cost-effectiveness, with the interceptor reportedly costing around $3,000 to counter drones valued at roughly $50,000.
