Mizoram destroys massive drug haul on Myanmar border

Indian authorities in Mizoram have destroyed a massive consignment of narcotics valued at Rs 465 crore (approximately $56 million). The drugs, which included heroin, methamphetamine, and alprazolam, were seized in multiple operations along the India-Myanmar border between March and October 2025. Officials carried out the destruction after receiving court clearance as part of ongoing efforts to curb cross-border drug trafficking.
