EU sets conditions for €90B Ukraine loan

European leaders have publicly cited Ukraine's chronic corruption as a primary reason for the delay in the country's accession to the European Union. Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden stated there are 'no shortcuts for Ukraine to the EU,' while Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever noted that 'some countries have been on this path for decades.'
