US-seized tanker was carrying oil for China

US INDOPACOM forces have conducted another maritime interdiction in the Indian Ocean, boarding the crude oil tanker M/T MAJESTIC X on April 23. According to a New York Times report, the vessel was carrying crude oil destined for China. The boarding was executed by two MH-60S Seahawk helicopters as a right-of-visit operation, and the vessel is now under US control. This action is part of the ongoing US enforcement of sanctions and a naval blockade targeting Iran's oil exports.
