Russia pledges support for Republika Srpska

A high-level Russian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko visited Banja Luka, the administrative center of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Republika Srpska entity. During the visit, Grushko stated that mutual relations are based on mutual support and described Moscow's backing for the preservation of Republika Srpska as 'absolute.' This visit underscores Russia's continued political engagement and support for the Serb-dominated entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has often been at odds with the central government and Western policies in the region.
