Al-Shabaab ambush kills Somali soldiers in Baidoa

Al-Shabaab militants, part of Al-Qaeda, ambushed and killed several Somali Army soldiers in Baidoa, located in the Bay Region of Somalia. The attack highlights the ongoing insurgency by the militant group against the Somali government. The militants were reportedly armed with Chinese-made Type 80 machine guns and Type 56-1/56-2 assault rifles during the assault.
