Russia funds summer vacations for Belgorod children

The Russian government has allocated 1.2 billion rubles to the Belgorod region to organize summer vacations for children from border areas. Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that the funds will allow approximately 16,000 schoolchildren to vacation in children's camps in other regions of Russia. This initiative appears to be a state-sponsored effort to relocate children from a region that has faced repeated Ukrainian cross-border strikes and drone attacks. The funding follows other recent humanitarian aid deliveries to the embattled border region.
