Pahlavi targeted with paint in Berlin protest

During a visit to Berlin, exiled Prince Reza Pahlavi, son of Iran's last Shah, made serious accusations against the regime in Tehran and called for an end to Western negotiations with it. He demanded the 'withdrawal of legitimacy' for the current government, receiving political support from German politician Armin Laschet, who sees him as a potential transitional leader. After a press event, Pahlavi was sprayed with a red liquid by a man, an incident consistent with previous protests against his appearances. His actual support within Iran, however, remains uncertain.
