Russia warship escorts sanctioned tankers in English Channel

Russia has deployed a warship to escort a group of sanctioned Russian tankers and merchant vessels through the English Channel. One of the escorted ships has been previously linked to exporting weapons to Syria. This naval escort operation appears to be a direct response to Western sanctions and maritime enforcement efforts aimed at restricting Russian shipping.
