IDF's replacement crucifix in Lebanon was stolen

After Israeli soldiers destroyed a crucifix in southern Lebanon, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) posted on social media claiming to have placed a new statue to replace it. However, it was later revealed that the replacement statue placed by the IDF had actually been stolen from another local church in the area. Italian UNIFIL forces subsequently returned the stolen statue and installed a proper replacement, correcting the IDF's action.
