Saudi Arabia pressures Pakistan to halt Sudan arms deal

Saudi Arabia has asked Pakistan to halt a $1.5 billion weapons deal with Sudan and to reconsider a separate $4 billion defense agreement linked to eastern Libya, signaling a shift in Riyadh's regional strategy. The pressure on the Libya deal, which is associated with eastern commander Khalifa Haftar, adds fresh uncertainty to Islamabad's foreign policy and defense export push. Riyadh's withdrawal of financing for the Sudan deal has already led Pakistan to terminate that agreement, which included fighter jets.
