Germany detains Ukrainian, Latvian for espionage

German authorities have detained a 43-year-old Ukrainian and a 45-year-old Latvian citizen on suspicion of espionage. The suspects were apprehended on the A6 motorway in Neuendettelsau and were found in possession of forged documents, cameras, a drone, GPS trackers, radios, and multiple mobile phones and SIM cards. They have been remanded in custody, with investigators stating they were 'acting on behalf of an organization or institution located outside of Germany.' The case highlights ongoing international espionage concerns in Europe.
