Germany details massive kamikaze drone order

Germany has signed a major defense contract with Rheinmetall for the supply of FV-014 kamikaze drones. The initial order is worth approximately 300 million euros and calls for the delivery of a first batch of around 2,500 units, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2027. The multi-billion euro framework agreement has a potential ceiling value of about €2.4 billion, which could cover the supply of over 10,000 drones. The FV-014 drone has a reported operational range of 100 kilometers.
