Germany orders Rheinmetall kamikaze drones

Germany has signed a major defense contract with Rheinmetall for the supply of FV-014 kamikaze drones. The initial order is worth approximately 300 million euros and calls for the delivery of a five-digit number of reconnaissance and strike-capable drones. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027. The FV-014 drone has a flight range of up to 100 kilometers and can carry a 4 kg warhead.
