US intel: Iran retains significant military capability

A new Pentagon intelligence assessment, reported by NBC News, directly contradicts public statements from President Trump and his Secretary of Defense, who had claimed Iran's air force was 'destroyed' and its navy had 'gone to the bottom of the sea.' The assessment shows Iran has maintained a significant portion of its military power, including thousands of ballistic and cruise missiles, drones, and launch infrastructure, some hidden in underground facilities. About half of its launchers and a significant arsenal remain active, preserving its capability to threaten vital routes like the Strait of Hormuz.
