Netherlands transfers minesweeper to Ukraine

The Netherlands has transferred the minesweeper Zr. Ms. Makkum to the Ukrainian Navy. The vessel will be renamed "Henichesk" in honor of a Ukrainian ship lost in June 2022. Its primary mine-disposal tool is the SeaFox underwater drone, which identifies and destroys mines using a controlled explosive charge. This transfer represents a significant boost to Ukraine's naval capabilities, particularly in countering maritime threats in the Black Sea.
