French ID agency breach exposes 12M accounts

A massive data breach has been reported at France's Agence nationale des titres sécurisés (ANTS), the government body managing national ID cards, passports, driver's licenses, and biometric data. The incident exposed the data of approximately 12 million accounts to a third party. This marks the fifth major cybersecurity breach of a French official national database in the last seven months. The ANTS is responsible for processing sensitive citizen data, including biometric information for identity documents and visas.
