Russia expands Geran-2 drone base at Shatalovo

New high-resolution satellite imagery reveals Russia has completed the construction of additional open-air storage facilities for Geran-2 drones at Shatalovo Airbase in Smolensk Oblast. These facilities are used to store drones during launch operations, which are conducted from four static launch pads adjacent to the storage areas. The new infrastructure is designed to allow for more rapid launches during large-scale combined attacks against Ukraine, indicating a continued expansion of Russia's long-range drone strike capabilities.
