New E-4C 'Doomsday Plane' test flight

A new Boeing 747-8B5 aircraft, designated as an E-4C Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC), conducted a test flight out of Dayton. The aircraft, with tail number N747SN, was acquired from Korean Air in January 2025. This platform is intended to replace the aging E-4B Nightwatch fleet, which serves as the National Airborne Operations Center for the US government during national emergencies.
